1:29pm and I am amazed that my 5yr old has taught himself to ride a bike with no training wheels. It was just last month that he was walking it to the hill top and riding it down like a bull until he fell off at the bottom over and over again! lol!

11:17am and its back to the grind at work. Had fun making t-shirts this weekend! Think I've really found me a new hobby / business!

7:39pm and I splurged at got Pro Tools LE and a USB condenser mic for my home office! I can make beats and songs at the house now!

7:09am and I must find time to take my final for school before tomorrow night. Looks like I will be up late tonight or take it on my lunch break. Got a 98 in the class!

5:15pm and its amazing how good quartet Gospel music makes me feel! I tried listening to newer artist and they just don't move me spiritually. I guess traditional music will always have a HUGE space reserved in my heart / soul.

8:37am and got home after 3am working at Kinkos for a movie shoot today. Also shopping for my wifes birthday (20th)! Party at my place tomorrow at 4:30pm. See you there!

10:10pm and back from a weekend in North Carolina with my wife and her silly cousins. Had a blast and now its back to work... T-shirts, Logos, Websites, etc...

4:48pm and I thank God that my father set a perfect example of how to suppress the thug side that runs in my family's blood! Love is the perfect weapon! :-) But somedays are a LOT harder than others...

10:48pm and I'm trying to find motivation to do my school work this week... feeling hopeful?

5:50pm and I dont know why I'm so entertained by the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.... sadness! lol!

7:38am and the last basketball game of the season in a few hours, lot of freelance work to finish up today. Feeling VERY BLESSED!

6:45am and the secret is not to wish the storm and rain away, but to learn to dance in it!

10:57am and its just about time to clock in. I havent felt well all week but worked with a smile. Not been the easiest thing... but daddy raised some real "working" men!

9:00am and its when things get hard that you have to push back harder! I'm not giving in to sickness nor stress! Just had to push Devry Univ to get my transcripts from years ago. Found out I only have 7 classes left to Graduate!!!! Like I said... We Pushing... You have to move with me or get pushed out the way... =)

7:05am and got to work on a logo for the local youth baseball team. So hard to find time for our sponsorships but community service is important to us.

7:32am and I laughed last night when a 5yr old overnight guest hit jett and made him cry then punched niree for trying to tell! Told Jett he got to learn to defend himself. He get that niceness from me. It takes a lot to make me angry. But I aint no push-over and aint raising none! Dad-Talk 101

9:29am and its friday!! Got to work hard today and prepare for a laid back weekend in the Studio. Life is challenging now but GOOD!! Lets get it!

12:40pm and just wrapped up a late meeting with the brothers. So good to have positive brothers who have a ride or die mentality! "We are gifted and we're going far!"

7:30am and 99.5% of my daily work is paying attention to detail. All my school kids need to know the importance of this. Adults are not picking on you - they are preparing you!

11:12am and Im laughing at how my son Jett gulped as he watched me take down some ox tails and rice at a carribean restaurant! lol! He looked like he was going to passout!

4:21pm and had fun at Jett's Basketball game this morning... Was the only father teaching kids how to dribble and pass "after" the game! lol! Robinsons have always had a competitive nature even if we don't always show it!

6:49am and I need to start yoga or something. Maybe meditation can calm me when I get stressed. Any suggestions? Me and Jett tried yoga and my wife laughed so hard as we flopped around the floor! it was more entertaining than fun! lol!

6:06am and I'm understanding how powerful this is and that we cant assume that we are not ALL a part of this struggle... Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Just completed the second week of the new year
I feel like I have a fresh start
I’ve completed all of the work owed to past clients
I can officially go back to fine arts and fashion
Its been a hard transition
Hard for me to tell people “No”
It does not come natural to me
Trusting that I will be allowed the time
To focus on new things for a while
The time to focus on building families
Our 1st Annual Family Leadership Award was a success
Already planning the next one
It was Dr. Kings Birthday yesterday
I always feel bad on that day
Let down by the state of not only blacks
But all races
We all have sat back for decades
Allowing the government to chip away at our basic rights
No more God in the schools
Cant even tell someone to have a blessed day in work emails
Those that are more fortunate could care less
That there is a Health Care reform to help the less fortunate
Everybody is waiting on God to show up
Waiting for God to perform so miracle to save us all
While I know and trust that God only works for us
through us….
We have the power within us to boycott things we don’t agree with
We have the collective power to help with and end homelessness
We have the food to help the starving and hungry
One dollar from every human being…
Only a few churches are actively involved in restoring communities
Most have grown into businesses that must pay salaries
Businesses that cant function if a certain amount isn’t reached each Sunday
The church “was” a place of refuge
It “was” where the cold could go to get heat
It “was” where the hungry could go to get fed
It “was” where a single mom could go for comfort and counseling
Now that same female is lusted after by the pastors
Those young men are being molested by the clergy
And nobody boycotts…
No collective body God fearing of beings STAND UP!
This is so far from a “Negro” problem
Everybody is waiting on a “savior” of a man
Not realizing that the same power lies within them
We all have the power to be Good
Each of us have the ability to do great things
If only to help simply one of the people we know

I have such a long way to go on my journey
So much to learn still
I’ve spent the majority of my life struggling
Fighting away ignorance
One of the truest enemies we all have
To defeat ignorance is to conquer fear
It opens understanding
It allows us all to become learned of one another
Shows us how to respect and help each other

I turn 35 this year
And plan to make this a phenomenal year
I end this post urging you to make this a phenomenal year as well

9:26pm and fair warning that Jett Oni Robinson has vowed to put his foot and his shoe into his meals when he gets older!!

7:55am and they say its best to stay off the roads. It is a blessing to be able to work from home, but I really miss the speed of being at the office...

7:58am and its Day 3 of working from home. Still not worth it to make the 1hr trip to work with ice on I-285. Not from Dallas, GA anyway. Time to break ice out my driveway again... :-(

9:19pm and I spent my day shoveling snow, working on a Java Based Website and Contracts for work. Why does working from 11am-8pm feel like you have surrendered your entire day to others?

7:39am and it appears that I dont have to go in the office today! Should I work from home or take PTO (Paid time off)? hmmmmm...

7:49am and my wife has two boys and a husband. She needs a LOT of help trying to get us to take family pictures today! lol! I do not like cameras pointed at me...

7:43am and I am amazed at how teens get upset when you stay on them about school and life in general. But if I stop, mine will opt to play video games all day, not wash dishes, not make A's and B's, and not take showers. Basically becoming a bum and WE CANT HAVE THAT! GET'EM DAD!!!!

10:20pm and why are men limited to things like man caves, and bachelor pads? I've never heard of a Bachelorette Pad, nor a woman cave? Do all wives eventually take over the house?

9:23am and I'm excited about learning ASP.net in detail. I'm such a nerd but dont know when that happened? Thought that I would be a carefree artist by now...

1:44pm and... I cant fear losing everything, in order to gain what God has set aside for me! I'm staying on my path...

It’s now a new year
A perfect time to reflect on the past
I have not written in a long time
I had a very hard year in 2010
Lost a $2,000mth contract due to the economy
Continued to look for employment
Got turned down due to “over qualification?”
Couldn’t even get warehouse work.
So I continued selling websites and going to Devry Online
Scrambled each month to bring in at least $1500
Depended heavily on my wife financially for the first time
Fought depression like Tyson in his prime
I fasted for over 5 days with my brothers Anthony and Jerald
We smiled as business picked back up
Schools called to have murals painted
Started our T-Shirt and Merchandising Company

Local youth organizations ordered T-shirts
Opened an office in Ohio for GetChristLike Clothing
I found a job as an HP Sales Rep for Best Buy
Found out I did not like it after the first day
Sales was not my strong point
But unlike most people these days
I was willing to work the job because I was thankful to get work
About that time I got a call from AutoTrader.com
They made a great offer after at least three interviews
And hours of testing
And my life continued to change for the better
A living testimony of what it means to never give up
Me and my brothers froze our business income
Decided to use it to buy equipment
So we purchased a Hat Press / Mug Press / Ceramic Plate Press
Got a 4-color Silk Screen Printing press
My uncle joe who is also an officer in the company repaired our studio computer
So we purchased Pro-Tools LE and a Mic Pre-Amp
that allows us to continue making music
I’m revealing this step-by-step info
In hopes of inspiring other entrepreneurs to invest in themselves
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that when you come from the bottom
You have to work Five Times harder than others
Our first instinct as entrepreneurs is to quit our day jobs
But with no investors, or wealthy supports giving money and equipment
It is a better idea to work day jobs as well as grow your business
Any income should be used to pay employees and purchase supplies and equipment
And I promise that your business will grow faster
We are so far from retirement and financial wealth
It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to retire comfortably
It seems that most are scared of hard work these days
Scared to make sacrifices
Would rather sit on the couch watching TV each afternoon
Than pick up another job or some side work
We have to make some hard decisions
so that our kids do not have to work that hard
But if we continue taking it easy and not push ourselves
Our kids will grow up the same way
If we fail to go back to school to get degrees
Will our kids aspire to do so?
I can name at least 4 of my cousins who did not finish high-school
Who believe a life of crime is more profitable for them
Who spend time in jail at least once a year
And do you think that their kids will grow up any different?
If not presented with a positive alternative?
I hope that this post explains why I work so hard
Why I now use well over 16hrs of my day to work and generate income
I do not aspire to be rich
I inspire to be wealthy / Financially stable / with no recurring debt
I do not aspire to be a celebrity
But a role model / mentor to at-risk youth
An inspiration for those who have given up on life
2010 is done
I cant take back or redo anything done during that time
2011 is here
We have to learn from our past
Blaze boldly through our present
And plan BIG for our future
I’ve received so many blessings this past year
The year ended with a mentor donating a Mac Book Pro to our company
If I had tears I could have cried
I was able to get computers for everyone in the company
I feel so very blessed
Still feeling like to those whom much is given….
Much is required
So I fight through the emotions of others
Who would try and determine my present and future steps
I’ve been given an agenda from a higher being
I have a purpose that was signed by the most high

And I cant fear losing everything, in order to gain what God has set aside for me…

6:24am and the new 11am-8pm work schedule lets me give my sons their ACT RIGHT TODAY speech before sending them to school again! I missed that these last months :-(
